Central University of Tamil Nadu ( CUTN ) is the main university of Tamil Nadu and is situated in Tiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu. It spreads and offers knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities, promote innovation in teaching-learning process and research, establish linkages with industries for promotion of science and technology and educate and train manpower for the development of the country.

CUTN needs dedicated and experienced faculty members who have the talent of institution building and have a passion for academic excellence and quality research. For this, CUTN has published an advertisement for the post of faculties in the discipline of Chemistry, Computer Science, English, Economics, Linguistics, Environmental Studies, Mathematics, Life Sciences, Social Science, Tamil and Physics. Only Indian Nationals can apply latest by 30th April 2011.

4 posts are for professors while 8 posts are for Associate Professors and 12 vacancies are for Assistant Professors.

Qualifications:
Professors – For this posts , candidates should be an eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification in the concerned discipline with at least 10 years of teaching experience in college including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level and also should posses minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in the UGC Regulation, 2010.
Associate Professors – Candidates should posses Ph.D. Degree in the concerned discipline with at least 8 years of teaching experience along with should posses minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in the UGC Regulation, 2010.
Assistant Professors – Should posses Masters degree in the relevant subjects with minimum 55% marks and should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET / SET.
