Reserve Bank of India ( RBI ) was established on 1st April 1935. It is the central banking institution of India which controls the monetary policy of rupees and dollar. It is a member bank of Asian Clearing union. Its head quarter is located at Mumbai and is fully owned by the Government of India. It promotes the economic development of the country. It has 22 branches with 4 regional offices ,15 branches and 5 sub-offices located at major cities of India.

RBI has published an advertisement in its official website for the various posts in grade A & grade B. For this only Indian Citizens can apply latest by 16th May 2011.
10 vacancies are for the post of Assistant Manager ( security )in Grade ‘ A‘. Candidates applying for this post should not be less than 25 years and not more than 40 years of age and should be an Officer with a minimum of five years’ of Commissioned Service in the Army / Navy / Air Force.
12 vacancies are for the post of Assistant Manager ( rajbhasha ) in Grade ‘ A ‘. for this post, candidates age should not be more than 30 years and should posses masters degree in Hindi/Hindi Translation, with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level OR Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level OR Master’s Degree in Sanskrit / Economics / Commerce with English and Hindi as an elective subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level. Minimum 3 years of experience in coining of Glossary or English to Hindi translation and vice-versa is also required.
10 vacancies are for the post of Research Officer in Grade ‘ B ‘ for Department of Statistics and Information Management ( DSIM ). for this post, candidates age should be between 21 – 30 years and should posses masters degree in statistics / Mathematical Economics / econometrics / Statistics & Information from IIT Kharagpur / ASI from NT Bombay with minimum 55% marks OR Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade and one year post graduate diploma in Statistics.
Candidates has to go through an Interview for the post of Assistant Manager ( Security ). while for the post of Assistant Manager ( Rajbhasha ), selection will be made through written test and interview . Written test will be going to held on 10th July 2011 and those who qualifies the test will be called for an interview for final selection. For the post of Research Officer, candidates has to go through a written test and after that qualified candidates will be called for an interview. Written test will be on 16th July 2011.
