LIC Recruitment 2011 for Direct Sales Executives

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) was established on 1st September 1956 by the Government of India. It is the country’s largest investor. Its main office is located at Mumbai. At present, it has 8 zonal Offices and 101 divisional offices located in different parts of India and 2048 branches in various parts of India along with satellite Offices attached to 50 Branches. By becoming a part of LIC, people make safe future of their children in terms of finance. It provides adequate financial cover against death at a reasonable cost.

LIC has published an advertisement in its official website to engage Direct Sales Executives for various offices of the Corporation purely on a contract basis for a period of three years only. This recruitment is for all its various zonal offices. Interested Indian Nationals can only apply latest by 26th April 2011. It is a marketing job and all the selected candidates will be responsible for Procuring New Business, Providing Policy Servicing and related jobs from the areas allotted to them.
Total 7540 vacancies are available for the post of Direct sales executives for different zones. Out of which, 617 vacancies are for Central Zone, Bhopal, 683 vacancies are for East Central Zone Office – Patna, 2136 vacancies are for North Zone Office – Delhi, 1088 posts are for Southern Zone Office – Chennai, 2083 posts are for Western Zone Office – Mumbai and 933 posts are for South Central Zone Office – Hyderabad.
For this post, candidates age should not be less than 21 years and not be more than 35 years. He / She should be graduate in any discipline and degree / diploma holders in marketing / management will be preferred.
Selection will be made on the basis of written test and after that qualified candidates will be called for an interview. Written test will contain questions of Sales aptitude Test of Reasoning, Numerical Ability and General Knowledge.
